Villiers Pupil Leadership Team

School Council Members

Our School Council is made up of Head Pupils, Deputy Head Pupils, Head and Deputies of our school houses (Moon, Sun, Stars and Earth). These representative are all selected by staff, based on the child's applications, when transitioning from Year 5 into Year 6.

We also have one School Council member from each class from Year 2 up to Year 5. These children are voted for by their peers in a very life-like election having presented to their class their reasons for being chosen. This really helps to give a sense of British Value in the classroom.

They all attend meetings that follow an agenda to check attendance, share minutes from previous meetings, address any matters arising and to discuss suggestions or concerns from all pupils across the school and forms part of their 'Pupil Voice'.

These children then feedback to their classes to share points discussed within the meeting.

This is a council for the children, run by the children to give all children a voice in our school.
